Firm History
After years of practicing together, Randal Mathis and Mark Donheiser formed the law firm of Mathis & Donheiser, P.C., to focus on providing their clients with experienced, effective, and reliable trial and appellate representation.
In the spring of 2001, the doors of Mathis & Donheiser were opened in downtown Dallas. Through their efforts, the firm earned a reputation for successful trial and appellate work. This success led to an expansion of their client base to include the representation of various individuals, national and international corporations, medical, legal, and athletic professionals, religious institutions, clergy, banking institutions, commercial entities, small businesses, manufacturers, high-rise condominium associations, and nonprofit organizations.
With 40 years of practice experience, Mathis & Donheiser attorneys have adeptly handled challenging civil litigation and appeals with national and international consequences, ranging from art law, banking disputes, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, product liability litigation, natural and propane gas explosions, will and trust contests, firearms liability, boating accidents, professional liability actions, to sexual abuse claims. Mathis & Donheiser’s appellate practice has been involved in over 200 appellate oral arguments and argued numerous jury charges. Winning numerous appeals has garnered Mr. Donheiser an outstanding record in the appellate courts, and he has achieved wide recognition for his appellate work. Our appellate practice is involved in every aspect of the firm’s case planning and trial preparation. The appellate lawyers continually exhibit creative analytical abilities, excellent legal research, and exemplary writing skills when handling various appeals, and during the many aspects of trial preparation.
